"Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers, dedicated to changing the world, one child and one community at a time." As our Defining Statement, this sentence sums up what it means to be a Kiwanian. I ask each of our members all over West Virginia to strive to live up to the ideals and aspirations embodied within it.
First Lady Sherry and I are honored and excited to be working with every one of our Kiwanis Family members in the 2011-2012 administrative year. These are exciting times! We inherit a legacy of growth in membershi p, new clubs and service leadership programs. Our theme for the year “Don’t Stop Now” reflects our desire to continue this legacy. This requires each of us to continue to volunteer our time and talent. The results can only be that our efforts will result in “changing the world, one child and one community at a time.” So, as we enter the new administrative year, the future is bright and with all eyes fixed on the horizon the only thing to be said is “Don’t Stop Now”!
This website can only be as good as you make it, so please submit news items, pictures, and events which you want to publicize. When we get the Kiwanis word out to our communities, Kiwanis sells itself. But we need to continue to be proactive in our communications. "E Pluribus Unum" isn't only true as it relates to the USA. In Kiwanis, we are never stronger than when each of our members, each of our Kiwanis Family organizations, each of our clubs, and each of our divisions strives toward a common goal. "From Many, One."

What if you could save a baby's life?
With The Eliminate Project, you can. Maternal and neonatal tetanus (MNT) kills one baby every nine minutes. But three doses of a 60-cent vaccine can protect mothers and babies. Kiwanis and UNICEF have joined forces to bring this vaccine to 38 countries, eliminating MNT from the face of the Earth. What can you do right now? Learn about MNT and advocate for the cause. Participate in our fundraisers. Over the next few years, the work we do will change the world. Find out more at www.TheEliminateProject.org.
